Our Zero-Fee fundraising platform works so well because we don’t get in the middle of transactions between the host and supporter. When a supporter purchases a ticket or makes a donation, the supporter simply pays the hosts low PayPal fee, the host immediately receives every penny, and we get nothing. Honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.

So far we have helped charities, nonprofits, do-gooders, and those in need raise over $100,000 in just a few months. That’s $100,000 going immediately and directly to the causes to create more change faster.

Through this simple approach and model, we’ve found that supporters are willing to purchase higher ticket prices or donate larger amounts because 100% is going to the cause they’re supporting and not toward high transaction fees.

We built this proof of concept to test the market and see if there is a need for such a service as iTrulyCare within the community. We believe numbers don’t lie, there certainly seems to be a need.

We now need help in developing our next platform that will offer more tools and services for causes and change makers.  To raise funds for the next platform we created a self crowdfunding page in hopes to do just that. Potential volunteers simply click the Volunteer button and provide their contact information which will then be directly emailed to the host. No more having to post volunteer requests and needs on other sites, recruit right from your iTrulyCare event.

Our second charity event contest winner is the Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana with their event ‘Seats for Seizures…and All that Jazz’. With an astounding silent auction featuring amazing items from merchants in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and other parts of Louisiana, as well as nationwide travel packages.

Chartered in 1977 as the Epilepsy Council of Southeast Louisiana, the Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana was formed to provide services to individuals with epilepsy and their families. The foundations mission statement is, “The Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through services, education, advocacy and research.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana was able to gather 124 supporters out beating the other charity event contestants. We congratulate them and wish a very successful event and continue making a difference every day in their quest to end epilepsy.

Congratulations to the Kessler foundation for winning our very first charity event contest with their ‘10th Annual Stroll N’ Roll’. Kessler Foundation strives to improve the lives of people with physical and cognitive disabilities caused by stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain and spinal cord injury, and other chronic neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions.

The Kessler Foundation is on the forefront of research and support of those with disabilities. This is the organization that helped Christopher Reeve after his disabling fall in a riding competition and has partnered with his estate to broaden assistance to the physically disabled.

With voting that started September 14th and ended midnight August 28th 2011 they successfully gathered 371 Supporters. Kessler Foundation obviously has some awesome supporters and it shows in the way they came through and supported them. We wish the Kessler Foundation the greatest success, and keep being the difference.

We released a new feature that can be added to your charity event arsenal toolbox, Donations. Cease the opportunity to gain support from someone that is unable to make it to your event but still wants to support in the form of a donation.

It’s as simple as linking your PayPal nonprofit or business account to your event with just an email. The best part is we don’t get in the middle between you and donors. That means we don’t directly accept the donations, so all donations to a 501c3 are tax deductible and go immediately to your PayPal account. We also don’t complicate your financial management by introducing yet another service where donations will be coming in from and need tracking. We’re all about simplicity and ease ability, make sure you’re receiving all the support possible by accepting donations for your next event.

We want to personally thank all the new members and hosts that have joined iTC in the recent weeks. So here is a nice pick of gelato taken from a sweet shop in Sicily.

With the new design release and direction focusing around events there has been very positive reactions with great growth. The response and relationships that have come from this progression has been tremendous and we appreciate all the great positive, bug reporting, and feature requests feedback so far. If you happened to report any bugs we quickly acted and fixed those for you right away with a prompt direct response. For feature requests we quickly developed out the ones that were most requested and made the most sense for all our members. For the multitude of positive remarks we hope to continue doing great things so you can continue being the difference and help you get great awareness for your cause and passion events.

With all the great feedback and site usage, it has gotten us working on our next functions to include accepting PayPal donations directly from your event. In the very near future we are going to be choosing a select few hosts to help us test out these functions. If you are a 501c3 non-profit, have a PayPal account, and would be interested in raising donations for your next event please leave a comment or send me a direct message within iTC. For all the individual change makers out there we haven’t forgotten about you, you’re next!

Direct communications with our members has been exponential to us making the site and experience better for everyone. With that we thank you, and hope to continue making a great service for everyone.

With your event planned and scheduled, you now need to start getting the word out. Trying to accomplish the single most difficult thing after planning and coordinating is getting awareness and drawing the attention your great cause deserves. This is certainly an undertaking. As an avid event seeker trying to find compelling things to do and support in my community, I have found it very difficult finding those all important, interesting, and change making events in my area.

So you create a facebook event and invite everyone in your friends list or fan page ‘like’ list. This is an extremely valuable and powerful tool to get your event out to the masses. Problem is you are broadcasting to everyone in your social circle that is dispersed around the country or even the world. This doesn’t help in targeting the individuals you need to actually show up to your event and support your cause. Another key aspect is that unless I am already connected to you by friendship or page ‘like’ then I will never know about your great cause event. Those are two serious limitations that are causing you to miss out on people that don’t know about you or don’t have a facebook account. You need to constantly promote and find new people to support your cause not just stick with the people that already know about and support you.

As an individual trying to find event/s you’re searching the net by event name (if you know about it), trying to search on any local content site you can come across, or eventually finding the host’s main website. This can become time consuming and in allot of cases too targeted. Imagine going to a site that is automatically location based with events listed by date in your area with category filtering by interest. iTrulyCare facilitates needs of both sides; the event host and the person trying to find events and causes they want to support. I cannot count the amount of times someone has said to me “hey you going to the blah blah event supporting blah blah”? My response “Sure but how does one find out about this event”? Ohh… well, “it’s on facebook or go to this site blahblah.com and you can get the details”. Okay, so you’ve already lost me as a possible supporter, I don’t have a facebook account and I can’t remember that website. The key here is engaging a visitor and turning them onto your charity, cause, or passion event without them ever knowing about you beforehand based on their interest. And most importantly for you to visit a single site, finding a cause you support, and getting out there being the difference.
